forassa is a chamber work for loudspeaker (tape), bass clarinet, cello, and piano in which poetry, speech, and instrumental sound merge into a single expressive language. Inspired by workshops held with residents of care institutions in Burgundy, the piece transforms recorded testimonies, memories, and vocal gestures into a poetic sound world where the boundary between music and language gradually dissolves. Rooted in the composer's ongoing exploration of onomatopoeic and corporeal poetry, forassa creates a contemporary echo of the troubadour tradition through the intertwining of words and sound.
