This work was written to celebrate the Rose Fair of the town of Bellegarde in France. The initial idea was to translate the brush of a rose into music and sound. The piano begins with the hand half‑closed, shaped like a rose, a simple caressing gesture that produces a somewhat random effect, a touch that constantly creates a unique sonic consequence. The voice, likewise simple in its almost naïve melodic line, speaks to us in an intimate, untranslated language, sounds and utterances born from the movements of a rose in the wind, gestures with no direction for the eye, which yet express the will of the air. It is in this unique and ephemeral world that time expands, expresses itself, and finds itself once again.
